DEJAN IVKOVIC – DIPLOMA
2020

Being fascinated with light and the phenomena displayed in the Double Slit Experiment, the idea underlying my final project was to design and build something that interacts with the bodies and things that surround it, rather than being an isolated object in a closed space; something that senses and acts according to changes in intensity it perceives. Each “intra-action” bears a unique entanglement of waves and particles, displayed by the apparatus. The existing prototype enacts a diffraction pattern on the water surface until it notices the presence of something or somebody, and consequently ceases to do so. This behavior is alluding to photons who stop behave like a waves after being closely monitored by detectors in the course of the the Double Slit Experiment.
