The class looked at traveling and asked how we can design being on the road in such a way that it is more than just a means-end relationship and how moments of arrival can be integrated into being on the road. According to the motto: The journey is the destination!

Being on the road in this way is fundamentally different from mere locomotion or the efficiency-driven pursuit of goals. It would be a way of being on the move that is open to the unpredictability of life, that is able to appreciate unexpected experiences and in which interactions with our surroundings and fellow human beings are perceived as meaningful. Ultimately, it is the quality of our relationship with our environment that enriches our existence – whether we are on the move or have supposedly arrived.
